Halloween Cards

This was a card I made for my brother who lives in Canada. We live in Texas, so I wanted to make it with a little Texan flair.

Front of my son's card.

The inside - part gatefold card and part stairstep card.

The front of my daughter's card.

The inside of my daughter's card - I believe this is called a K-card, but I could be wrong. Will have to check up on this...

Hi everyone ... just wanted to share with you a few Halloween cards I made. Everyone one liked their cards very much, and I had a lot of fun putting them together, although truth be told it did take me a few hours, but in the end it was worth the time and effort!

Wish you all a very Spooktacular Halloween!!! :)

Noel Tealight Holders

I made this set of tealight holders for myself and then liked it so much that I decided to make a few sets for friends. I'm also going to sell them at an upcoming craft fair. I made the boxes for them and all together they really do make a lovely gift for Christmas. I think the teachers would probably like a set too. They must have hundreds of mugs by now :) . The photos don't really do them justice - they are very elegant in real life. Thanks for taking a peek and for your encouraging comments.

Personalized Christmas Ornaments

I decided that this year, instead of trying to find that special ornament for that special person in my life, I would just make them a personalized one. They've been such a great hit, that I have had already a few orders from friends for their families. If you would like one, email me at lenfon@msn.com or call me at 832-492-1342. All orders welcome :) Comments are much appreciated.

M & M's Christmas Story

I think that these sweet treat cups from Stampin Up are the greatest thing since bubblegum! They are so cute and the opportunities are endless. I got mine from Barb at http://www.snowmanlover.blogspot.com/. It was super easy and super fast. Thanks Barb.
Not too long ago, I came across this poem written by Lillygirl. It was a poem she wrote some 10 years ago for her little brother. When I read this poem, I just knew how I would put together a little sweet treat this Christmas!
Thanks for looking - comments are appreciated.

Bookmarks

One thing I'm always short of is bookmarks. I have plenty of them, but can never find one when I need one! S0, take a look at these that I made - they are so easy to make and so much fun. Let me know what you think.

Teapot Card

A friend of mine collects teapots, so I decided to make her a birthday card in the shape of a teapot, with a little oriental flair.
This is the inside of the card. On the top section (not seen here) was the section for the gift card.
Since it was going to be hand delivered, I thought a mere envelope was a little blah, so I came up with this little presentation 'bouquet'. I'm happy with the way it turned out and she really liked it!

Christmas Gift Baskets

The Froggy Basket

The Seaworld Basket

The Ducky Basket

The Safari Basket

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it - the colors, the smells, the lights, even people seem more cheerful. As you get closer to Christmas, though, I see a lot of frazzled people doing their last minute shopping - not knowing which way to turn because a lot of the items they'd thought to get are sold out, while others don't even know where to start.

When I lived in South Africa, I was a Tupperware demonstrator for close to 3 years. I loved it. I'm a people person. I enjoy making new friends and seem to find them where ever I go. So, most of my customers became friends. Selling Tupperware during the holidays was especially fun and brings back wonderful memories. You meet so many different people during your demonstrations. When you get invited into their homes, you also get the benefit of sharing in all their various customs, traditions, foods, desserts, more food and more desserts! I forgot to mention above that I'm a people person who loves food and I'm not afraid to try out new foods - I especially loved doing demonstrations for people from different nationalities and trying out all the different dishes.
As with most kitchenware demonstrators, we used to share a recipe with our clients and either cook or bake at their homes. However, during the holidays, good food was in ample supply, so I used to turn most of my tupperware dishes into Christmas gifts. For example, a container that was meant for make-up, I would put little soaps and toiletries in it and then dress it up in my favorite Christmas colors which are red, green and gold. My most successful sale was in fact to a group of men at a company where I was allowed to put up a lunch-time demo. Those men, like a lot of our hubbies, were totally clueless as to what to get their wives while Christmas day was fast approaching. When they saw the containers all dressed up, they remembered that their wives liked tupperware, and voila, I had 17 boxes (large - removal size) of merchandise shipped to my home, spent a little over a week decorating containers and delivered them all the week before Christmas. I had several calls from happy wives and in fact 7 of them became regular customers.
With this in mind, I decided to make Christmas gift baskets to help those shoppers that run out of time or just want something different. I also make 'food' baskets with wine, cheese, crackers, nuts, etc. but those I only make on order. These, that you see in this blog, I made with the hopes of selling them at a craft fair at the end of the month, but I've already had a couple of orders from friends that have seen them. They really are "pampering" baskets. Their contents are the kinds of things that you normally don't go out and buy for yourself - but you really enjoy receiving them. I'm busy making more with the Disney Princesses and with Spiderman. I can make them to match any color scheme or theme of your choice.
They are all packaged in cellophane as you see in some of them. The others, I photographed before wrapping them so you can have a better look.

Well, this has turned out to be quite a long blog. So take a peek, place an order, or just leave me a comment on your thoughts about them. I love hearing from all of you!

Fall Wedding Towel Cake

As promised, here is the picture of a wedding towel cake I made for a Fall bridal shower. The bride's color theme for her bathroom is chocolate brown and gold. So in keeping with the whole theme, it has chocolate brown and gold towels, it has the fall flowers and of course some yummy ferrore roche chocolates.
This 'cake' is made from 3 bath towels (bottom tier), 3 handtowels (middle tier) and two face cloths (top swiss jelly roll).
I had a lot of fun putting it all together. Thanks for looking and please leave me some comments on what you think.

More Baby Shower Gifts.

Minnie Mouse Diaper Cake - perfect for a baby girl.

When the parents do not want to know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl, then a rubber ducky diaper cake is the perfect solution. This was made for one of these baby showers.

How about a diaper wreath? In fact, how about co-ordinating a diaper cake with a diaper wreath? Some guests prefer to decorate the baby showers with wreaths instead of cakes and others enjoy both. This little lion is sure to welcome your little baby boy.

Beautiful butterflies for a beautiful baby girl!

A baby sock bouquet.
This was made as gift for a newborn baby boy, thus the white and blue and the lizards, after all boys will be boys!

Look at the small pampering gifts I have been making. They are perfect for teachers, friends, birthdays, members of a wedding party, get-well and just general gifts of appreciation and friendship. They are all presented wrapped in cellophane as seen above.
They are made to match any color theme of your choice.
Let me know what you think.
