Happy Saturday crafting friends and welcome back to my blog :-)
This year, at Hiding in My Craft Room, Laurie has changed our weekly challenge line up. This year, on every fourth Saturday of each month, our challenge will be "Any Holiday" This is perfect for those of us that need to work on Christmas cards through out the year and for those of us that need to scrapbook those precious memories from Any Holiday! :-)
Our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies
The prize this week is a $12 gift certificate to their store.
I decided to make a Christmas Joy Fold card for today's challenge, so I used A Day for Daisies' image called "A Visit with Father Christmas".
It brought back sweet memories ~ in South Africa, the jolly fellow was always called
Father Christmas. Since moving to the United States, it quickly changed to Santa
and I almost forgot who Father Christmas was :-)
The cardstocks and DP's are all from my scraps drawer.
Greeting in the front of the card - Cardz TV - Very Merry Stamp Set
Sentiment on the inside of the card - Stampabilities - Glory of Christ
Here is a view of the card when the first flap is open.
And here is a pic of the card when both flaps are open. I think it's such a happy fold. I've seen so many of these cards before, but had never tried it. This week, a team sister, Lisa, made one of these cards and totally inspired me to make one too. I'm glad I took this opportunity to make this type of card fold and plan on doing at least a few more :-)
So, now my crafting friends, it's time for you to grab your holiday pics, papers and embellishments and make a project for Any Holiday. Then link it up to our challenge blog to play along with us and to stand a chance to win the generous gift from our sponsor. You will have till Saturday, 2:00 am PST on 31 January 2015 to link your project.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
