Playing with Acetate

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a card I made for hubby's birthday.  I was inspired by Jennifer Mcguire to try my hand at playing with acetate and after watching her video, here is the card I came up with.

Recipe:
Acetate - Craft Plastic Sheets from Jo-Ann's
White cardstock - GinaK
Background stamp - Tropical Background - Hero Arts
stamped with StazOn Opaque White ink
Seahorse stamp and die - Hero Arts Layering Stamps
Ocean floor stamp - Great Impressions - Seaside Shells
Sentiment stamp - Cardz TV - Good Times
Teal Zeal Memento ink used for sponging

I really like the way it came out.  It was very difficult to photograph, but I think you get a good idea of what it looks like. I think that next time I need to choose a different colour combo for layering the large seahorse.  I think he's a little blah, but for the first try I think it came out okay and hubby liked it :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.

  4. Lena, this is incredible... I'm so grateful you were inspired by the video because you have in turn inspired me! The entire scene is so pretty, whisking me away to an oceanic adventure. The color palette is naturally gorgeous and I just want to hug all of the sweet seahorsies. :o) Every visit to your blog is a sweet adventure, I must say.. always know how much I appreciate you and how much joy your work brings my heart. :o)

    Hugs and blessings,
