Horrified right? Therefore, we must always maintain a clean environment to prevent mosquitoes from breeding around us. In addition, we also have to know how to get rid of mosquitoes from our homes.

This one method is very economical because it only uses used goods that can be obtained easily. For more details, see the ingredients needed and how to make them below!

Materials needed to make a mosquito trap:

  • Used plastic bottles measuring 1 - 1.5 liters
  • 50 grams of brown sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp bread yeast
  • 200 ml of hot water
  • Knife or scissors
  • Spoon
  • Black duct tape

How to make a mosquito trap:

  • Wash used plastic bottles until they don't smell.
  • Cut the bottle in half with a knife or scissors. You can cut it right in the middle or about a full length from the end of the bottle. Be careful because the cut of the bottle can injure your hand.
  • Select the bottom of the bottle for the container. Put brown sugar and yeast in it.
  • Pour hot water and dissolve the sugar, then allow it to cool.
  • Cover the bottom of the bottle with the top of the bottle. Do this by putting the neck of the bottle to the inside. Cover the sides of the bottle with black duct tape.
  • Put the bottle in the corner of the house and leave it for one week.
  • You can replace the liquid in it with the same mixture. However, keep washing the bottles clean after using them.

A solution consisting of brown sugar and yeast will produce carbon dioxide gas (CO2). This gas is very popular and makes mosquitoes come there. After entering the bottle, the mosquitoes will be trapped in the liquid making it difficult to get out.
